Looking for more than just an internship? At Americold, you won’t just observe - you’ll contribute, collaborate, and get real-world experience that matters. Our Americold Internship Experience (AIE) is built for students who want to do meaningful work, learn from industry leaders, and take the next step toward a career in the supply chain.

Why Students Choose the Americold Internship Experience

The Americold Internship Experience (AIE) is a 12-week, full-time, paid internship available across the U.S. It’s designed to give you real exposure to what it’s like to work in a global supply chain organization, and a chance to make an impact from day one.

Whether you’re studying business, engineering, operations, HR, IT, or another related field, you’ll have the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom to real-world projects and challenges.

What You’ll Gain as an Americold Intern

  • Hands-on experience that contributes to real business outcomes.
  • Site visits and exposure to day-to-day operations.
  • Cross-functional meetings that help you see how the business works as a whole.
  • Access to leaders and mentors who want to see you grow.
  • A final Capstone Project that lets you showcase your impact and insights to company leadership.

You’ll wrap up your internship with more than a line on your resume - you’ll gain insight, confidence, and lasting connections.

Your Internship Interview: What to Expect (and How to Stand Out)

If you’re thinking of applying (or already have) here’s what to expect during the hiring process - so you can feel prepared and ready to shine.

Share Your Story in a Short Video Interview

After your application is reviewed, qualified candidates are invited to complete a short video interview through our Yello platform.

Tips from our team:

  • Choose a quiet, well-lit space
  • Dress professionally
  • Be yourself and share why you're excited to intern at Americold

Meet the University Relations (UR) Team

What we’re looking for:

  • Curiosity, professionalism, and strong communication
  • A growth mindset and genuine interest in the work
  • How you align with our team-focused culture

Get in Front of the Hiring Team

The UR team will share their selections for top candidates with hiring managers for further review. If selected, you’ll move to the next step!

Interview with the Team You Might Join

This is your chance to connect directly with the people you’d be working with. You’ll meet the hiring manager and possibly other team members in a Microsoft Teams interview.

Tips from the team:

  • Ask questions about the role, team, and projects.
  • Share examples from school, past internships, or volunteer experiences that show how you approach challenges and collaborate.

Offer Time!

If you’re selected, congrats! The UR team will reach out with a verbal offer, followed by your official written offer once it's finalized.
