Because we hold safety and security in the highest regard, Americold is happy to announce that we’re partnering with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in their ongoing efforts to strengthen international supply chains and improve United States border security. Americold has joined CBP’s Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program, a voluntary public-private sector partnership that aims to reduce international supply chain risk. CTPAT partners include principle stakeholders of the international supply chain such as importers, carriers, consolidators, licensed customs brokers, supply chain services providers, and manufacturers.
Americold is excited to take an active role in working with the U.S. government to defend against supply chain terrorism. Our path to CTPAT certification includes working with CBP to identify potential security gaps and implement specific security measures and best practices. The changes we make will support the program and our overall commitment to ensure the security of our people and our customers’ food and beverage products in the temperature-controlled supply chain.
