At Americold, growth and development aren’t just perks - they’re part of our DNA. We believe that every associate, no matter where they start, has a path to a meaningful career.
“Start here and go anywhere” isn’t a saying, but a commitment to helping associates grow personally and professionally, supported by learning programs, virtual and in-person courses, on-the-job tools and resources, engagement activities and the ability to create your own individual development plan.

To give insight into what growth really looks like, we invited Rondalynn
Warrior, Senior Manager of Global Training and Development, to share her perspective.
Rondalynn has spent years helping associates chart their careers and develop skills that open doors to advancement. She partners with leaders to design and deliver leadership development, change management, and workforce learning initiatives that support business priorities across the organization.
Her work focuses on building scalable, practical learning experiences that enable leaders and frontline teams to perform, grow, and adapt in a dynamic operating environment. With a background in business consulting and organizational effectiveness, she brings a data-informed, people-centered approach to talent development. Rondalynn is passionate about strengthening leadership capability and creating learning solutions that drive engagement, retention, and long-term impact at Americold.
“Building your future here at Americold means taking advantage of both formal and informal learning opportunities, whether that’s asking to shadow another role or completing a certificate program provided by the organization or using tuition reimbursement to pursue a degree,” Rondalynn shared. From hands-on experience to mentoring and formal learning, associates are encouraged to explore the organization and discover what is possible.
Growth starts with intention. At Americold, goal setting is a way for associates to take charge of their development, following a 70-20-10 model: 70% of growth comes from on-the-job experience, 20% from mentoring and coaching, and 10% from formal learning.
“That last 10% is really about carving out time for structured learning that helps you achieve your goals,” Rondalynn shared. One of the most exciting ways we bring this to life is through our partnership with the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA).
Each year, Americold selects 50 associates to participate in the Cold Chain Institute, a prestigious three-year development program that brings together industry peers. “It’s one of the most well-known programs in our industry, allows associates to develop skills, expand their network, and gain exposure to best practices across the cold chain,” Rondalynn said.
Formal learning also includes resources that are immediately accessible to every associate. LinkedIn Learning is a key example. According to LinkedIn, Americold exceeded all industry benchmarks:
“This year, we’re connecting LinkedIn Learning directly to organizational goals and individual development plans,” Rondalynn explained.
It’s about making learning practical and meaningful; associates can build skills that align directly with their goals while exploring internal resources to deepen their understanding of the business.
Other programs like the Value-Centered Leadership Academy demonstrate how Americold invests in its people, from frontline team members to leaders.
“In 2026 we will be delivering the Value-Centered Leadership Academy to each of our regions in North America to increase the number of our associates who can receive hands-on development, mentorship, and coaching that turn day-to-day work into career-building experience.”
Associates who thrive here take charge of their own growth. They are motivated to learn the business, set goals, seek mentorship, and build strong internal networks.
Entering the new year, the focus on development is stronger than ever, with new initiatives, growing teams, and emerging opportunities. From onboarding to career advancement, growth is supported every step of the way, and the path is open to everyone willing to invest in themselves.
